@blumenkraft we don't have a fair electoral system in place in the UK. There are two many times when people's votes just don't count or won't make the slightest bit of difference! The Brexit vote was the first time when I've known every vote to totally count. That should be how we elect our Prime Minister. I'm not totally up on politics - just how I perceive it!

@cirrus this one is hilarious! this administration makes it into history books only for their ignorance…
@blumenkraft whilst i disagree with your 'no brexit' stance, i totally agree that it is one heluva mess and something needs to be done post haste.
@cirrus don't you think the re-election could open a window to overthink and/or even end brexit?
@blumenkraft @cirrus as I understood it there is no way out once article 50 has been triggered. Brexit will happen in 2 years at the latest, no matter what
@blumenkraft i think the people have spoken, granted Scotland majority did vote to remain, but we did opt to stay in UK, for our sins
@pisolita I wouldn't be too sure, the powers that be do not want it to happen so there's every chance that it wont, [i'm lookin at you house of unelected lords] /@blumenkraft
@pisolita My old gran told me in 80s the next war would be due to the fact 'all the countries would join up, and 1 would break away' & it would be cause of next WW, i used to think she was a mad old bible thumper, im having second thoughts /@blumenkraft
@blumenkraft the EU have already said we can 'forget it' and welcomed back if we want... I think - can't find the news article now!

@RossA @pisolita @cirrus @blumenkraft This might be one of the many articles on the subject.

@RossA @pisolita @cirrus @blumenkraft I wonder how long it would take those in favour of Brexit to settle down to pre-hype lives, if the UK decides Brexit cannot happen. It'd be ugly for a while but, ultimately, what can they *do* to frustrate the future?
@blumenkraft I have a few colleagues, friends, relatives… yes there are.

@bazbt3 that was one of them! :/) thanks

@blumenkraft quite a lot still!

// @cirrus @pisolita @bazbt3
@bazbt3 only that would be very ugly unless another referendum was called - you'd be going against the majority (I even if small) of people in the country

@blumenkraft @cirrus @RossA @bazbt3 when I was living in the UK I learnt that most Brits don't feel like being part of Europe, was quite shocking for me. I think that's the underlying problem. And ignorance of all the things in the background
@blumenkraft @cirrus @RossA @bazbt3 ...such as medicine's authorisation, patents, science funding... people don't know about this, all they see and believe are those UKIP lies
@pisolita totally agree with this. The only time we hear about EU stuff is when it is negatively affecting is

@RossA every democratic voting system has it's flaws. i think liquid democracy [en.wikipedia.org] is the way to go in the future.
this way you really get the most intelligent in their fields in charge.

@blumenkraft @cirrus @RossA nah, I had the same feeling at first, but now I think it will happen. The UK will most likely end up like Norway: paying for EEA access but without any rights. And then they want to join again.
@blumenkraft @RossA @cirrus yes, I agree!

@der_Jeff look at the local ones! the ones not in the spotlight. you can influence them, throw arguments at them - they will understand. you are democracy. we all are. :)
@RossA you're nick reminded me of an old video i sync'd audio to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFZimo-vihg // @pisolita @bazbt3 @blumenkraft
@blumenkraft Afraid not, i only added/synced the audio to the video. @RossA @pisolita @bazbt3
@pisolita Sorry for late response, just had to say it may have something to do with us being an island and feeling inherently isolated (just a thought) @blumenkraft @RossA
