Tooling up
@33MHz /@unixb0y I’m currently the President of a small Men’s Shed group. A tradesman donated sever thousand dollars of old Makita 18v gear plus mains-powered stuff. We already had a collection of Milwaukee 18v kit: 2 two speed drills; 2 three speed impact wrenches; 2 angle grinders; a circular saw; two chargers & 8 batteries. The Makita stuff mostly have 1.3 Ah batteries so we bought an adapter plate to run a Makita tool from a 4Ah Milwaukee battery. The impact wrenches apply massive amounts of torque and are designed for driving screws into wood very rapidly and for use with nut sockets. Plenty of mechanics use these to remove/refit car wheels.
