@33MHz it does, the Thames is about a mile across where. He’s probably crossed the channel from France.

We were on the north side about to take the ferry back to the south side but to go S to N we used the Woolwich Foot tunnel, which was opened in 1912, first time I’ve been through it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woolwich_foot_tunnel
