Maybe it is because it "electronic control"? (don't know what about it should be controlled but maybe the inwards force)

@unixb0y @ unixb0y Actually, I think the weight is determined by the cartridge, look up your cartridge number, should be a suggested weight.
@Andrew yes, right :) and the weight is measured "from horizontal position", right ?
Another question: when i started to try getting the arm horizontal, the needle hit the plate, is this a problem?
@Andrew okay :) First I just want to have it so that the sound is fairly nice and most importantly the records don't get eaten up..
Do you think that it could have damaged the needle when it "crashed" (slightly) into the plate twice?
@Andrew they say 1,5-3g tracking force and 7g weight.
