@peemee wow. That is an incredible tale. I'll ask my friend if she's heard of him. My paternal ancestry is viking and English -- some brothers arrived in Canada in 1811 from Northumberland. My paternal grandmother's side we can trace back to the 1700s in the US. She was an Armour and Nickerson. But I have some Scots too -- my paternal great grandmother was a Duncan

@tellingtales My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Fraser. One of my cousins has a sword that was used at Waterloo, after much research it belonged to a Fraser on the winning side, other clan members fought for the French.
@peemee that's cool. I am not a Fraser but I had a Fraser friend in high school. Her father played the bagpipes and was very into his Scottish ancestry
